Raul Bryan recently dropped a new album titled Reality, anticipated to dazzle music lovers with his grand talent and exquisitive skills.
The self-taught music producer and DJ started off in music in 2013, and improved his craft steadily until he got to where he is right now, rubbing shoulders with the crème de la crème of the music industry.
He said he started working on the first song in the album in 2017, when he first got the idea to start compiling the album.
“I was inspired to produce quality work and timeless music that will set a high standard in the house music scene, and also make strides across Botswana, Africa and the world. The album speaks of love, ambition and dreams, all three being great motivators for his production,” he said.
Raul Bryan explained that he worked with different artists in order to come up with an exceptional offering.
“I worked with Dig dis, a distributor from Europe, to release my music. I also worked with Daddy Blaiz for mixing some of the vocals, and also worked with Priscilla K, Saltie, DJ Kops and Msiz’kay from Zimbabwe. I also worked with Agatha Elijah for graphics and admin, and Kemuntu from Seres Producers in Portugal, for mastering. It wasn’t a smooth process to put everything together, but by God’s grace we managed.”
A key feature on the album is the song Hold On featuring gifted songstress Saltie. Raul Bryan said working with Saltie was challenging but worthwhile.“We put in a lot of work on the song, and the proof is in the pudding.The song has already been recognised by the likes of DJ Black Coffee, and playlisted on Spotify,” he said.
Raul Bryan said he looks forward to working with different artists on collaboration projects that will ensure that he improves his craft.
“Locally, I want to work with the likes of Franco, Scar, DJ Gouveia, Han C and Khoisan. Internationally, I want to work with Black Coffee, Masego, DaCapo and Martin Granixx.”
Raul Bryan has been nominated twice for Best Dance single at the Yarona FM Awards and won once, won best single and has had his music playlisted across Europe, and also on Spotify and Traxsource.
His song has also been played by DJ Black Coffee in Ibiza, and by DJs Oskido, Shimza, Oscar P (USA), Kemuntu (Portugal) Sef Ombo (England) and D Malice (UK).
He has also been playlisted and interviewed on South Africa’s Metro FM,YFM, Kopanong FM and Sky Metro in Zimbabwe.
