INQ.DIGITAL LAUNCHES EDGE CLOUD IN BOTSWANA
New digital solutions provider Inq. Digital Botswana has announced plans to accelerate an array of custom made business solutions through its edge cloud offering.
Edge Cloud is an interchangeable cloud ecosystem encompassing storage and compute assets located at the edge and interconnected by a scalable, application-aware network that can sense and adapt to changing needs, securely and in real-time.
With a suite of solutions under its edge cloud offering which include Intelligent Docs, Network Fabric, Edge AI and IoT, Edge uCPE, Elastic Edge, SDN for Cloud Edge, Edge Baremetal and Secure Access Service Edge, inq. Digital Botswana intends to be a pioneer of new trends in technology on the local market Minister of Transport and Communication, Thulagano Segokgo said inq.’s next-generation technologies will see the country move towards a knowledge-based economy without leaving anyone behind. “inq. has leveraged on the infrastructure investments that the government has made together with its cloud capabilities to bring digital solutions to Botswana,” said Segokgo launching the subsidiary of the pan-African cloud-based digital service provider, a subsidiary of Convergence Partners . Segokgo highlighted that government has invested heavily in deploying the pre-requisite connectivity infrastructure in the form of fibre to the business and the home, together with undersea cables that enable Botswana to access information, knowledge and even do business with the rest of the world. “Though we have made such significant progress, we still have a long way to go in digitising our economy and ensuring that every Motswana is included in this transformation,” said the Minister.n Sharing the Minister’s sentiments on digitisation, Inq. Digital Botswana Managing Director, Mokgethi Nyatseng said technology gives business the ability to predict trends and ensure data has meaning, to improve and make informed decisions.
