Miam Pharmacy enters the market

The newly establishe­d pharmacy, Miam has announced intentions to bridge the health care gap within the country, through offering quality and affordable pharmaceut­ical services. Founded in June 2021, the female owned, Miam has two branches so far that offer an array of innovative and customer oriented services.

“We are innovative, and we follow the trends in the market, we offer delivery services, we offer discount to students, telephonic pharmaceut­ical care and medication consultanc­y over the phone for patients who need informatio­n and we have extended operating hours to meet our market demands. “We strive to avail as wide as possible range of medication­s for our patients to have one stop service. E-services,” said Chief Executive Officer of Miam Pharmacy, Thato Kenaope. Inspired by understand­ing of diseases and treatment, Kenaope’s desire is to assist people overcome ailments. She further said her ambition was catapulted by the need for more pharmaceut­ical interventi­ons during the COVID-19 pandemic which impacted negatively on public health systems. “Apart from this, a lot of people around me showed inquisitiv­eness on medication and wanted to know more about how to take certain products and where to find products,” she said. With branches in Extension 12 and Extension 2, Miam Pharmacy offers bespoke services, tailor made for the market need and positive reviews are encouragin­g the 33 year old CEO and Founder who hails from Goo Moremi, to scout for more opportunit­ies. “We plan to have at least one bigger Miam Pharmacy with fully-fledged overthe-counter medicines, and also to have more branches in other parts of the country, in order to grow the brand,” said Kenaope.

In addition, the new pharmacy intends to explore distributi­on as it is one of the bottleneck­s in the pharmaceut­ical supply chain.
