BNF NOT TAKING UDC PARTNER SERIOUSLY - CLAIM

-

Life in politics can really be unfair. Kana magatwe a re a lot the Botswana People’s Party (BPP) members were this weekend seen littered around Mmathubudukwane village where they were excitedly going around to lure the residents to an Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) rally long scheduled for Saturday afternoon. In a strange twist, the party activists got a rude awakening when during their animated house to house engagements, a family of Botswana National Front (BNF) loyalists asked which UDC rally they were talking about as the one they knew about was postponed. Gatwe the poor BPP activists tried in vain to tell this family that no rally was postponed. They said they were sure because among them were party leaders who would otherwise know about the postponement. Owai, poor guys, they were to learn an hour later that indeed the rally was postponed. Even their leaders, among them BPP Secretary General, Nono-Kgafela Mokoka, were shocked that just about two or three hours before the scheduled time for the rally, a message arrived from their BNF counterparts that the rally was postponed. Some of these BPP fellas gatwe they had come all the way from Ghetto to beef up a campaign to get people to the rally. Le jaana gatwe no sound reason has been given as to why the rally was postponed except to say go ne go na le diphitlho mo motseng! Like there is never a funeral on weekends anywhere. Now the BPP guys are unhappy, saying their BNF partners in the UDC do not take them seriously.
