Looks forward to releasing her second album

The ever talented Nicole Martinez wrapped the last quarter of the year over a splendid performance at ‘Perfect Noise Sessions’ event over the weekend.

This is an event meant to bring together different artistes to enjoy their work together from the same space. It draws together together artists, musicians/singers,live band, dancers and poets and just any creative under one roof, and Martinez says she was happy to be part of this initiative.

Having been into the industry for a long time now, Martinez also tells Vibe that the event would go a long way in molding industry key players as it mainly focuses on unleashing new talent. “The fact that they create a platform for upcoming and emerging creatives in Botswana, would go a long way in closing the existing gap between established artists and upcoming artists,” she said.

The creative Martinez also noted that she has observed that usually other new musicians give up along the way when no one notices them, and so she is glad that Perfect Noise Sessions is trying to identify new talent and give upcoming artistes an opportunity to be known. The event takes place atleast once every month at Gaborone Club,Zest Restaurant. Martinez hopes to perform as a headlining act at the event next year. “I am hoping to be a headlining act in 2023 at the event because this time around I was just a featured act,” she tells Vibe. She also looks forward to dropping another new album next year. “Because 2022 blessed me with a very cute adorable princess plus I released my debut album titled Motho Wame which is now a BOMU nominated album under Best RnB album and it’s available on all online music streaming platforms, I am definitely looking forward to dropping my second album in 2023, “said Martinez.
