“Things were not going well in a meeting that was called by the bosses last year, Junior Letlamoreng was asked why the team was performing badly, he was honest and told everyone in that meeting that he was doing the best he could to get the results but they weren’t forth coming,” Sun Sports source revealed.

According to the Sun informant, it was agreed that a team should find someone to come and add their input to the side and find solutions.

By then Letlamoreng was in Jwaneng where he was on a week-long workshop with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) as he is amongst a host of other local coaches doing the

CAF/BFA A license.

Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare who had just left Morupule Wanderers, was one of the names mentioned but the club top brass ended up agreeing that Kowa fitted the profile of an individual they were looking for.

“Everything has been agreed, what is left is for the commissioner to approve everything and Kowa will officially take over. The players like his methods, it is easy to tell that they are playing for him which is very refreshing and good to see,” the source added.

Kowa helped Holy Ghost to gain their promotion into the BFL but the club opted not to renew his contract; there were no shortage of offers though Extension Gunners and the BFA (National Under 20 COSAFA assignment) came calling for his services. Extension Gunners however showed him the exit doors before the season commenced.

The Jungle Kings have had a slow start to the campaign despite a 2-1 victory over Extension Gunners.

Letlamoreng has been with the team for the longest time and the plan is to still have him contribute to the developments of the team.

Information gathered by this publication suggest that, he will be offered to take over the wheels of the side as the director of football and for now it is a role that he is willing to take.

The club is reportedly working through their restructuring and more changes are expected to take place in the next two years.
