Numbers alone can’t make us join UDC rot
Win or lose, we want to be remembered as honest leaders and not rich leaders. It is not in our interest to win state power to enrich ourselves like the BDP and the over ambitious dishonest UDC. Our objective and commitment is for a government that will enrich the country and distribute the wealth of the country without any favor, uplift the quality of life for our people and not their families. We are resolute in our quest for such a government and we remain steadfast. The decision by the AP leadership to join the UDC is in total violation of our congress resolution. Our congress stated very clearly that the AP go into a coalition only with likeminded parties and made it very clear that the UDC is out of question because it is not like minded. Only another congress resolution can change that directive and no other structure of the party. So the leadership is now practicing what their new friend, UDC is practicing by transgressing on governance. It is not surprising though, gatwe show me your friends I will tell you who you are. We do not buy into a decision just because it is from a leader. We are human just like him, have brains to sieve and decipher what a leader says and decides irrespective of whether the majority follows him or not.
As we part ways with the AP we are disappointed at the way the party leadership has spread false and malicious propaganda against us to instill hatred and dislike against us within the party membership. This is the kind of agenda propagated by evil men and it is shocking that a man of Nadaba’s stature has allowed such to happen under his watch.
