Rockabonke Clothing Line presents music and fashion show tour

Rockabonke Clothing Line, an esteemed fashion house well known for dressing local celebrities will embark on a glamorous music and fashion show tour to unite the local creatives across different genres.

This initial music and fashion show tour will feature creatives including; Photography, models, promoters, artistes, MCs, makeup artists, dance groups to embrace fashion under one umbrella.

Owner and Director at Rockabonke Clothing Line, Daniel Chiwaya aka Rockabonke told Vibe that he came up with the concept to give creatives a platform to showcase their talent together with possible collaborations to grow one another. His observation is that upcoming creatives normally do not break the ceiling easily because they do not have right connections, and so this is the chance for the industry to meet.

“I am a fashion designer, concerned about the fashion industry’s growth but I know very well that the in creatives space, creatives depend on each other. That is why this is not just fashion show tour but fashion and music fashion show tour,” said Rockabonke.

He further emphasized that while they try to promote fashion alongside other industry creatives like photographers, makeup artists and models who literally put out their work for people to visualize it well, they also aim at promoting upcoming creatives during their tour.The tour is expected to start end of June at Capadona in Mogoditshane.

The music and fashion show tour is expected to capture class and elegance, as well as talent presented by the local creatives on that red carpet affair atmosphere. The national show would stretch to various places including; Palapye, Mahalapye, Jwaneng, Kasane,Lobatse, Maun, Francistown and finally in Gaborone.

So far, the creatives are excited about the tour and are currently preparing to be part of this great initiative. Rockabonke also told Vibe that they are still finalizing their lineup for the event. Some of the artistes to be expected during this event include; Figos, Motlha, Naisi Boy and Spiza. Rockabonke believes that the beauty of fashion is captured well through good music, makeup and good pictures, as well as good promotion, which is why he hopes this event lives on to create collaborations and grow the industry.
