Cooking With Opelo is a unique kitchen spot set to provide strictly customized menu prepared beyond clients’ expectations.

Opelo Tsona Tabuya is the lady behind the mouth-watering meals served at this exceptional kitchen. She established it in March 2022, to share her scrumptious recipes and prove her talent in culinary arts. Tabuya told Vibe that just like any other form of art, cooking needs rightful skills in order to be unique from other chefs or cooks.

“All it takes is for one to be creative and innovative. I take my art of cooking very seriously, and I started cooking from a young age and later decided to turn my hobby of cooking into business because I simply cook with a purpose to satisfy those taste buds with my yummy meals,” she said.

She is a self-taught home cook who founded the cooking company after leaving the corporate world to focus on her love for food.“I have liked the kitchen from a very tender age and would try different recipes all the time. I have always been a big fan of cooking channels on television and this is what helped me to discover my passion and talent in culinary arts,” she shared.

She remains firm that her tenacity and entrepreneurial nature led her to turn her passion of embracing food into a career to do what she loves the best freely. Her target audience includes; individuals, corporates and the government. She is motivated by the positive feedback she receives.

“I get amazing feedback. People love our food and the idea of customizing the menu to suit clientele needs,” she said. She added that Cooking with Opelo strives to be the preferred food service partner in the industry when it comes to offering delicious food and satisfactory service at a very affordable prices.

“We strive to grow and be the preferred food services partner in the industry. Nowadays the food industry market is very saturate and seem to be a scapegoat for most of unemployed people in Botswana. So I am fully aware that I should stand out to keep winning in the food game,” noted Tabuya.
