It has properties that serve most of the acute attacks. It is good for cold and flu, nausea and morning sickness for pregnant women, acute infections, good for most of digestive disturbances, it is cleansing, a stimulant and anti-inflammatory.

Garlic: is one of the best remedies. It is cheap, available, easy to dispense, you just have learn how to take it as medicine and not food.It lowers cholesterol and fat in the body, high blood pressure, cold, flu, bronchitis, prevents heart diseases, sinusitis, digestive problems, worms, infections, it cleanses.

Both garlic and ginger can be used in cooking adding flavour in most of the dishes. Food for healing.

How is the job market/demand in the naturopathic field? How do you think it will develop over the next five years?

Naturopathic Job market is very low in Botswana. There are only four registered qualified Naturopaths in Botswana. One clinic was closed owing to lack of clientele and medical aid support.

What are some of your professional goals for the future?

One advantage of Naturopathy in Botswana is the ministry of health recognises Naturopathy and Naturopathy is a member of the Botswana Professional Health Council.

Educating Batswana about Naturopathy is the only means that can help the public to gain knowledge and awareness.

My professional goal at the moment is to run workshops to help Batswana learn the importance of incorporating Naturopathy in their lives.

It would be a dream come true if Naturopathy can receive funding to work with traditional doctors to study and document Botswana herbs.

This exercise requires clinical trials and herbal testing.

I would also like to study common diseases in Botswana, the causes of the diseases, the best cure and preventive medicine.
