SPAGETTI AND MEAT BALLS WITH SALAD

Self-made chef, Henny Maruapula shares this top dish of spaghetti, homemade meat balls and salad with Sun Kitchen.

Meat balls ingredient­s:

• mince meat

• eggs

• bread

• onion

• barbeque spice

Preparatio­n

• Place mince meat in a bowl

• mix with eggs, bread crumbs, diced onions and BBQ spice

• Roll into balls and fry till golden brown, turning them regularly to make sure they are evenly cooked

• Remove from pan

• In the same pan fry diced onion, green pepper, fresh chilli, carrots for 5-6mins, then add add diced tomatoes and tomato

sauce.

• Let simmer for about two minutes then add the cooked meatballs. Mix together and let simmer till gravy is not too watery.

Coleslaw salad ingredient­s:

• red cabbage

• carrot

• mayonaise

• aromat

• sugar

Preparatio­n

• Cut cabbage into thin strips

• Peel carrot and grate

• Mix cabbage and carrot in bowl, add mayonaise, aromat, a bit of sugar and mix together to taste.

Spagetti

• boil water in a saucepan, when boiled, put

salt and a bit of oil

• Add spagetti length (Do not break) do not cover saucepan

• After 5-7mins spagetti wilts and then fold in the rest into water to be covered

• Stir with fork so it doesn’t stick together

• Cool for 5-7mins until ala dante

Beetroot

• boil beetroot for about 1hour. Once cooked.

• Peel, let it cool, then dice.

• Add a bit of sugar and vinegar.

Mix and serve.

Baked beans

• fry veges (onions, green pepper, carrot, fresh chilli) till soft and golden brown, add spices (barbeque + steak & chops), add baked beans then mix together.

Serve the yummy meal and enjoy!
