The legendary musician will be hosting a thanksgiving event dubbed ‘Award celebration’ this year on December 9th. He recalls that on each awards he is nominated in, he never walks away empty handed.

This he says is all made possible by his followers and fans who consistently vote for him and ensures that he wins.

“I just paused for a moment and acknowledged that winning awards, especially every year is something I shouldn’t take for granted. This shows that my music touches people’s lives and they appreciate my talent,” said Sengwaketse. He has won Best Male Award three times, Best Traditional Gospel Album four times, Album of the Year once and Song of the Year once.

“This celebratory day will therefore be all about giving thanks to everyone that has been supporting me as a musician, especially during the voting process of every Awards every year,” he said, emphasising that they would be celebrating the awards that he has won over the years. However, he said that this event was also motivated by him winning ‘Best Male Gospel Artist Award’ consecutively.

“I have various awards from the local prestigious gospel awards but I’m delighted by especially winning the best male gospel artist award consecutively, so we will be more into celebrating this recent achievement,” he said.

He could not hide his excitement over this and noted that this means a lot to him as it places him as the best and fairest of them all and he does not take this lightly.

“We have invited a couple of artists from different genres of music to make this event a real celebratory occasion. We thought that this is not just all about gospel music but about the support we get from people,” he explained.

The event is scheduled to take place in Kanye where the artiste of note was born and raised.

It would be held at
