Jojo drops EP

- BY IRENE SHONE

Jojo has just dropped a TraditionalAmapiano Ep dubbed ‘Engine’.

This EP is made up of four songs namely, Engine, Saulo saulo, O ne o mmeile kae and Ke lorile.

Jojo is a well-known talented traditional musician who takes her craft seriously. She told Vibe that, having been in the music industry for so long, she poised herself as a legend in her own right. She said that the music industry is based on growth and she tries by all possible means to be placed as a musician who lives within the trends and makes sure that her presence is felt.

“I started my music career with traditional sounds, and now that Piano is trending, I saw the need to blend in and also came with my genre of traditional music to fuse it with piano,” she said.

She noted that the fact that nowadays, most people listen to piano songs made her to think outside the box and also express her talent. So far, she is happy about the positive feedback that she receives regarding this new Ep. It is readily available on social media platforms and seeing multiple people downloading it from her link impresses her.

Additionally, fans do video challenges on the songs, which she says also humbles her. The Ep is also enjoying airplay on radio stations. Jojo is also working on the music video for the title track song, ‘Engine’. The video is expected to be released next week on December 15th. She is currently preparing for her shows for this festive season. She has been booked for December 23rd at Mafikeng Mmabatho civic center, December 24th at Mmadinare 48 hours braai bash music festival and in Mogapinyana on Christmas Day and in Mmadinare and Tonota, while on the 27th she will be Rramokgwebana and in Mogapinyana for the New Year’s Eve.
