MOTORMOUTH MMADIPHAGE SEEKS FORGIVENESS FROM BCP

-

That rabble rouser of Botswana politics Phagenyane Phage was back on the political rally podium over the weekend in Old Naledi where he addressed a Botswana Congress Party rally. This is the man who in recent months was a part of the Botswana Patriotic Front after he had dumped the BCP for joining forces with the Umbrella for Democratic Change.

He was telling the audience this weekend that ene he could never be seen to be a part of the UDC, saying leaders of the BCP imposed the decision to join UDC on them, which is why he left. While at the BPF, he experienced something similar when they were told the BPF would be joining forces with the UDC again. Once again he refused the idea, and instead chose to follow BPF leader Biggie Butale who also refused to join the UDC until he was forced out of the party. When Biggie went to start a new party, Mmadiphage as Phage is fondly known, chose to return to the BCP, and over the weekend he said it was an easy decision for him as the BCP has now cut ties with the UDC. One now wonders what will happen of Phage should the BCP once again entertain the idea of working with the UDC. Phage was not mincing his words, saying the UDC was not a party to consider for ruling the country. He even warned that the UDC would soon be crying that elections were rigged when it is clear they are going to lose because they are not ready for elections. A re go santse go le dintwa within the coalition and therefore ba seka ba tla ba re ba tsieditswe because the truth is, ga baa emela ditlhopho. He reminded his audience gore even as he may have left the party, ene he is more BCP than a lot can claim. He also asked for forgiveness to have left the party.
