MP Moswaane slams school heads for being unhelpful

- Batho b aba dingalo! Batswana kana ke

In his recent ‘enough is enough’ social media post, Francistown MP Mokwaledi Moswaane, scolded the ministry of education and more specifically School Heads for rejecting children whose parents come pleading for placement either on transfer from other schools or even where it is a new admission. “Enough is enough, ke batla batsadi ba itse gore ngwana mongwe le mongwe o na le tshwanelo ya thuto and nothing else,” Moswaane wrote, adding further to ask: “Kante Mogokgo ha a raya batsadi a re ga gona phatlha o raya gore ngwana a ye kae? That’s wrong. Bana botlhe ba tshwanetse gore babo ba filwe diphatlha within 10 days.” The comment crew had mixed reactions to his angry words of course, with some praising the MP as the man of the people who resides on the side of the downtrodden, while others accused him of electioneering and being part of the root cause to the current situation in schools. In the post where he even responded to comments, he noted further that it was actually the responsibility of School Heads to liaise with each other across the country to find ways of assisting students with placement in schools, and accused the BDP of being behind the problems bedeviling schools. Of course some in the comment crew did not spare him, saying the prevailing situation comes from a long way back when he was part of the BDP, with some even making reference to the years 2014 and 2015 when they as parents were in similar situations. They accused the MP of failing to do his duty of formulating laws to protect children and bettering things at schools, while he instead chooses to come and talk on social media. Kgang e be e nna gore a mme the MP was wrong to vent his anger on a platform where many would hear him.
