Little queen in the making
Little beauty queen, Masa Maria Phodiso is another hope for local beauty pageantry, as she dares as an international queen at only seven years-old.
The Standard Three pupil at Disaneng Primary School in Maun, came pocketed with multiple titles and awards from Quezon city in the Philipines. She was crowned Little Miss Republic Continent international 2023/2024 and Charity princess of Africa 2023/2024. She also bagged the Multimedia award and second princess Introduction video award in the Republic Continent International competition, which took place from the 16th to 21st December 2023.Masa is also co-founder at Miss Dawn of confidence since 2022. She is a baker and sometimes conducts baking lessons to empower youngsters. Masa cares so much about the environment and has a litter picking campaign, which she does regularly in different places. She started pageantry when she was five years old. Herfirst pageant was Maun festive where she was crowned second princess in 2021. She is also a student of Glory Modelling Academy based in Maun.In 2022, she competed in Maun Easters and was crowned the queen. In 2023 she joined three pageants, two local and one, international. She was crowned queen in two.She is currently busy with her projects. As the Ambassador for Miss Republic Continent, she would be hosting that event to empower children and give opportunity to those who would like to compete internationally in the same pageant. She also has her beauty pageant ‘Miss Dawn of Confidence’ that she does annually in December.
