Nassabouy decorates the local Afropop community

Tyson Moyangwa, better known as Nassabouy, is one Afro pop musician focused on taking the genre to the next level.

The Chadibe-born and raised musician told Vibe that he is a creative at heart and stands ready to share his talent with the world. Choosing Afro Pop was a deliberate decision for him as he always associates himself with wedding vibes.

He believes in the institutio­n of marriage and takes pride in writing and composing such music. The interestin­g thing about Nassabouy is that he records and produces his music in his own studio, called Nassable Records.

He began music as a career in 2004. For him music was a calling and he is grateful for answering to this calling. He dropped his titled ‘Jika Majika.’ debut album in 2010,

In 2022, he released another album dubbed, Kgaogana Le Thabo,’ and last year he dropped yet another album titled ‘Re patika baloi re bolawa ke masika,’ a full album that people are still dancing to. He says it is his favourite and best album so far because of the positive feedback that he receives.

“I’m confident to say that this album took our country by storm and it played so well at weddings this past wedding season. It enjoys airplay on radio almost every day, something that proves that my music has reached that level of growth and recognitio­n,” he said. He has performed alongside artistes such as Vee Mampeezy, Captain Dira, and Mahempe and has also performed at major events like Miss Teen Botswana as well as at the DBS Roadshow headlined by DJ Fresh. Nassabouy revealed that some music videos from this album will be released before end of this year.
