YANDANI BOKO CLAIMS HIS LIFE WAS IN DANGER FROM WITHIN

-

For some time the country had heard that the young former MP for Mahalapye East Yandani Boko was contemplating to resign from his party the UDC, and from politics altogether. This was because of a report by an online publication that first broke the news, although he would publicly deny he had any such plans.

But last week on this platform we questioned his sincerity in his denial because we knew he had spoken to ParrotOnline and the publication had no reason to lie about such a matter.

A day after our expression of doubt, he came out to drop the resignation bombshell at Parliament.

In his first interviews after the resignation announcement, he tried to avoid the issues he had raised with the online publication, where he had complained about the leadership of his party and how badly they were even treating him.

Owai, a few hours later he gave another interview where he laid bare his true reasons, saying he feared for his life as some within the UDC wanted him dead.

He said they were doing everything to ensure he does not go back to Parliament in the next elections. Of all the sitting UDC MPs he said, he was the only one subjected to primary elections, where it was clear who the party leadership wanted.

It is for this reason he said, that he chose not to wait for the elections no matter how close, but chose to resign and make his enemies happy. He even hinted at the party planning to stage a rape accusation against him to damage his reputation, just as BPF allegedly did against Biggie Butale.
