Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) School of Computing and Information Systems has officially launched data analytics certification pathways to meet market needs. The short courses range from P3500 to P6000 at their Gaborone main campus.
BAC Deputy Executive Director, Dr Tebogo Marang, expressed the college’s commitment to academic excellence and the delivery of leading-edge educational opportunities. He underscored BAC’s rich history of helping individuals achieve success in their chosen fields.
Dr Marang also noted the college’s diverse range of programmes, which reflects its dedication to developing talent and promoting innovation. He said these efforts make BAC a pillar of educational quality in Botswana and beyond.
“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the significance of information and communications technology (ICT) skills cannot be overstated. As technology continues to redefine the way we work, communicate, and interact with the world around us, proficiency in ICT has emerged as a fundamental requirement for success in every industry.
“Whether it’s harnessing the power of data analytics, leveraging artificial intelligence, or embracing emerging technologies, the ability to adapt and thrive in this digital era hinges upon a strong foundation in ICT skills”, Magang said.
He said as they launch Data Analytics Certification Pathways, it is imperative to recognise the pivotal role that digitisation plays in advancing Botswana’s Reset Agenda. BAC is committed to fostering a culture of digital innovation and transformation in alignment with the RESET Agenda, he said.
“Through our programmes and initiatives, we aim to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to drive digitisation efforts across various sectors of the economy,” he said, adding that by embracing digital technologies and harnessing the power of data, new opportunities for growth, efficiency, and prosperity will be unlocked, ultimately positioning Botswana as a leader in the digital age.
