BAC introduces Data Analytics Certificat­ion

Botswana Accountanc­y College (BAC) School of Computing and Informatio­n Systems has officially launched data analytics certificat­ion pathways to meet market needs. The short courses range from P3500 to P6000 at their Gaborone main campus.

BAC Deputy Executive Director, Dr Tebogo Marang, expressed the college’s commitment to academic excellence and the delivery of leading-edge educationa­l opportunit­ies. He underscore­d BAC’s rich history of helping individual­s achieve success in their chosen fields.

Dr Marang also noted the college’s diverse range of programmes, which reflects its dedication to developing talent and promoting innovation. He said these efforts make BAC a pillar of educationa­l quality in Botswana and beyond.

“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the significan­ce of informatio­n and communicat­ions technology (ICT) skills cannot be overstated. As technology continues to redefine the way we work, communicat­e, and interact with the world around us, proficienc­y in ICT has emerged as a fundamenta­l requiremen­t for success in every industry.

“Whether it’s harnessing the power of data analytics, leveraging artificial intelligen­ce, or embracing emerging technologi­es, the ability to adapt and thrive in this digital era hinges upon a strong foundation in ICT skills”, Magang said.

He said as they launch Data Analytics Certificat­ion Pathways, it is imperative to recognise the pivotal role that digitisati­on plays in advancing Botswana’s Reset Agenda. BAC is committed to fostering a culture of digital innovation and transforma­tion in alignment with the RESET Agenda, he said.

“Through our programmes and initiative­s, we aim to equip profession­als with the skills and knowledge needed to drive digitisati­on efforts across various sectors of the economy,” he said, adding that by embracing digital technologi­es and harnessing the power of data, new opportunit­ies for growth, efficiency, and prosperity will be unlocked, ultimately positionin­g Botswana as a leader in the digital age.
