Mponang addressed the ladies on issues of debts and reminded them that debts can be overcome.

She highlighted that the reality of life is that, anyone can find themselves in debts but that does not mean that it is the end of life. She used herself as an example, stating that she was once in debts but managed to get out of them.

“In life, you can be down today and up tomorrow so no one should give up in life,” she said. She also spoke about balance and that people should accept that they cannot have it all at once. “There is need to be in each season of your life fully and have the right support when you are,” she added.

Founder and Managing Director at Sheri Consulting, Lorato Akpata spoke to the ladies on finances. She further said often times parents do not have much time in the upbringing of their children but focus more on paying for services for their kids. She said it was important to balance between the two.

CEO at Metropolitan, Boitumelo Mogopa reiterated that all it takes is strength and confidence. She said women should believe in themselves. “Most of the time, I wake up to a boardroom full of men then I have to remind myself that there is a reason I’m there,” she said, emphasising that it is important to reflect and chin up whenever one feels down because this is how most capable women are afraid to follow their dreams. The host of the event, Tshepo Ntshole-Hall said that this series event and lifestyle event gives women a platform to unwind and chat over making life easier by learning from one another.

Head of Marketing and Communications at TRANS, Thapelo Mmono said that this support fosters inclusivity, networking, and advocacy, amplifying voices for a more equitable society.
