Mingo Touch Elevates

- Mompati Tlhankane Staff Writer

In order to build up hype for his upcoming album titled, ‘Amen’, former kid sensation, Mingo Touch has released a new single called Fame 3AM.

The Tshaba Tsotsi

hitmaker once again showed that he is a complete artist during the era when new sub genres are emerging to swallow the old ones.

The song was produced by Rulebizzy at Hood records in Tlokweng. The versatile artist managed to rope in Gappy Roberts and Mane Dilla and produce a masterpiece. “I featured Gappy Roberts and Mane Dilla on the track because I noticed they were the ones who can fit on what I wanted to do,” Mingo Touch told Showtime in an interview.

Gappy Roberts and Mane Dilla’s verses amplify Mingo Touch’s own compelling voice. The artist who is Vee Mampeezy’s former protégé, admitted that he does explore a lot of genres because his plan is for him to now go international.

“I need music that can compete internationally. This song is a build up to my album, Amen,” he highlighted. Mingo Touch has been in this industry since 2005 so experience has deepened and broadened him. He said since he released the song it has been getting a lot of airplay on local radio stations.

In trying to fulfill his mission to penetrate the international platforms, Mingo Touch said he plans to get the music video of the song to play on

Channel O. “I feel like I am losing myself,” Mingo Touch sings in the song. But in all honest truth, Mingo Touch has found his niche and finally getting his seat at the music industry table.

Fame 3AM sounds more like a cocktail of Nigerian pop, Jamaican dancehall, trap, hip-hop

and R&B.
