One of the most followed entertainers in Botswana, William Last KRM on Saturday shocked the nation when a video of him collapsing on stage surfaced on the internet.

Better known as Motsetserepa to his legion of fans, the comedian-cum-rapper is currently on a countrywide tour to promote his sophomore album titled ‘For My Uncles’. Last weekend, Motsetserepa, born William Bofelo Molebatsi was performing in Kasane at the Native Lounge when midway through his performance, the star collapsed.

The video went viral on social media, as his fans wondered what could have possibly happened to their favourite rapper.

The Monitor reached out to the club owner Thabo Autlwetse. Autlwetse told The Monitor that Motsetserepa arrived Saturday afternoon in Kasane.

“They came driving and immediately when he got here (Kasane), he went around Kasane for a meet and greet with fans and proceeded to sound check. He did not rest when he got here, especially looking at the distance,” Autlwetse said.

According to the club owner, Motsetserepa was cleared by doctors. “We didn’t spend much time at the hospital because the doctors quickly diagnosed that he was fatigued. We did not spend more than 30 minutes at the hospital and he was immediately released and went to his hotel,” he said.

“He is a very disciplined young man and I think his work ethic and work rate got the best of him. As a club owner, we meet all kinds of artists and I will tell

you this, he is by far the most professional artist in Botswana. He just needs to rest a little bit even though I know he is on tour and is set to perform in Gantsi next weekend,” the club owner further said.

Efforts to reach Motsetserepa who is sitting on millions of followers were futile as his line was off.
