IT OFFICER – SWITCH ATM SUPPORT ANALYST IT OFFICER - INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT
REPORTS TO
IT Manager
JOB PURPOSE
• Analysing and supporting bank ATM, POS, Switch & Channels systems (servers, computers, network, active directory etc.) performing checks, updates, and backups
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as a support resource for all ATM, POS,
Switch & Channels
• Act as a secondary support resource for bank
core infrastructure
• Plan future ATM, POS, Switch & Channels growth and other necessary changes when required
• Ensure ATM, POS, Switch & Channels availability in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreement
• Draw proposals making recommendations for Business as Usual (BAU) ATM, POS, Switch & Channels communication needs as guided by Infrastructure Administrator
• Provide ATM, POS, Switch & Channels support
for new Projects
• Monitor to ensure that Infrastructure & ATM, POS, Switch & Channels Support costs remain within the proposed budget level, subject to approved changes
• Contribute in the preparation of the Technology Services Capital expenditure and revenue budgets for infrastructure ATM, POS, Switch & Channels support

JOB PURPOSE
• Implementing, supporting, and maintaining robust procedures that ensure the effective operationand availability of bank systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as a support resource (cabling) for all Local
Area Networks (LAN)
• Act as a support resource for the IP Wide Area
Network (WAN)
• Plan future network growth and other necessary changes when required
• Ensure network availability in accordance with
agreed Service Level Agreement
• Draw proposals making recommendations for Business As Usual (BAU) data communication needs as guided by Infrastructure Administrator • Provide network cabling for new Projects
• Plan and roll out all BAU data communication
projects
• Monitor to ensure that Infrastructure Support costs remain within the proposed budget level, subject to approved changes • Provide ATM, POS, Switch & Channels upport
for new Projects
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
• B. Eng and or BSc Computer Science
• ITIL Certification or Equivalent • Electronics/Telecommunication infrastructure Management at either Degree or master’s degree
• CISCO Certified Network Professional • Cyberoam Certified Network and Security
Professional
• Project Management
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Detailed understanding of IT policies
and standards
• Detailed knowledge of IT products and
services.
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN
protocols
• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications
infrastructure
