IT OFFICER – END OF DAY OPERATOR

REPORTS TO

IT Manager

JOB PURPOSE

• Execute all batches on time and monitor Backups jobs and all-night mode transactions closely as well as keeping up-to-date with the Banking System’s architectural components, transaction processing workflow at the components / database objects level, frontend functionality and backend objects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handling the EOD/BOD activities

• Handling execution of Month, and Year-end • Checking of Batch jobs execution

• Record backups logs and resolve backup

related issues

• Ensure a timely dispatch of branch refresh and data store files to branches to start of day before the opening of business

• Monitor to ensure that Applications Support costs remain within the proposed budget level, subject to approved changes

• Provision of updates on Banking System

application to L2 team

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• B. Eng and or BSc Computer Science

• ITIL Certification or Equivalent

• Possession of professional certification i.e.,

OCP, MCDBA, and Oracle PL/SQL

• Unix, SQL, Oracle 11G, Windows OS • Knowledge of SQL and database management

systems

• A good awareness of Bank technology Services
