Uncle Waffles, Amaroto for Polo All White picnic
South African female disc jokey, Uncle Waffles, Amapiano musical duo, Amaroto and Sesotho Hip Hop rap artist Ntate Stunna headline the Maun Polo All White Picnic slated for Maun Stadium on April 7.
According to the event promoter and media liason officer for the Maun Polo Affair Easter Weekend Horse Race, Moxx Gaolape they have partnered with locals, G-Boys entertainment to stage this year’s festival. Speaking during a press conference on Friday, Gaolape said locals will benefit from this event.
“We have empowered the locals by engaging them to do some of the work related to this event. We have partnered with the person who has been doing this festival every year, RNR to host this festival. We have engaged promo-girls to promote the event as well and sound systems from local people. This on its own is the empowerment of local people,” said Gaolape.
He said besides engaging people to promote the event, they have also allocated slots to other local artists such as NatureBW who will perform during event. Others who will perform at the show include Team Distant, Ban T, Veezo View, FME DJs, DJ Bunny, Casper The DJ, T.H.A.B.O, RNR, DJ Quan and DJ Transforma.
On the day of the festival, they will also be a Kids Carnival which will feature activities such as face painting, jumping castles, water slides, Karaoke and more. Tickets for the show sell for P75 kids, P150 early bird, P200 standard, P1,500 VIP Standard, P4,000 VIP Plus which admits three people.
