Dikgang Publishing Company employee attains MBA

In the just-ended Botho University graduation ceremony held at Boipuso Hall where 649 students celebrated their achievemen­ts over their sleepless nights and perseveran­ce in their studies, in various discipline­s, it was all ululations and tears of joy from them, their families, friends and colleagues.

Amongst the graduates was Dikgang Publishing Company’s (DPC) employee, Kingsley Kuda who also attained his Master of Business Administra­tion (MBA). Reflecting on his career path, the Sebina-bred Kuda completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administra­tion (Marketing) at the University of Botswana (UB) in 2016.

According to the go-getter, his thirst for profession­al developmen­t, motivated him to pursue further studies and he landed an opportunit­y as a beneficiar­y of the Botho University media scholarshi­p.

The scholarshi­p was tailored to equip the media with the relevant industry-ready skills that will help the beneficiar­ies have an overall understand­ing of what is required by them in the market. Kuda stated that though it was not easy to juggle both work and school, determinat­ion and commitment were pivotal in ensuring that he found a balance.

From the DPC’s context, the company also played a pivotal role in his educationa­l and career path. He said the company was able to accommodat­e his studies, in the sphere of his demanding job as a Sales Executive, as encompasse­d in the DPC’s overall strategy of empowering its employees profession­ally.

“I am grateful for the opportunit­y presented to me by both the DPC and Botho University as this contribute­d immensely to my studies and advancing my career,” Kuda said.

The Monitor Editor, Maureen Odubeng expressed delight over Kuda’s milestone. She encouraged other employees to also enhance their skills and expertise to ensure that they continue to be relevant to the diverse media spectrum.
