Tano group launches operations in Botswana
Leading IT solutions provider, Tano Digital Solutions, has officially launched its operations in Botswana following last year’s acquisition of Altron Botswana.
The move marks a significant step forward for the company as it expands its regional footprint and brings innovative solutions to the dynamic Botswana market.
Tano Digital Solutions Botswana country general manager, Tefo Noke, said the launch marks a significant step in the company’s growth strategy. The company is set to redefine the IT landscape in Botswana thus contributes to the country’s technological advancement.
“We aim to bring new dimensions to the market by exporting valuable skills, ensuring that Botswana remains competitive in the global technology industry,” he said.
“This expansion is a win-win, allowing us to support local businesses while delivering exceptional IT solutions. We aim to create a hub for IT expertise and innovation that not only serves Botswana but also contributes to the region’s growth,” Noke added. As part of its strategy, the IT company is set to establish an SAP delivery centre in Botswana, which will serve as the operational heart of the company.
The centre will offer a range of innovative services, including those designed to address the SAP skills shortage in Southern Africa and the surrounding region.
“Our SAP Delivery Centre has the potential to employ up to 100 people when in full swing. This not only supports our SAP products but also provides employment opportunities for the local workforce,” said Mangere.
Tano Digital Solutions intends to play a pivotal role in supporting small to medium-sized enterprises in Botswana by providing cost-effective solutions, especially in the SAP space.
