Puma Energy Botswana has demonstrated its continued commitment to serving Batswana, by partnering with Chicken Licken to open its first Chicken Licken restaurant at the Mahalapye Puma Energy Filling Station, Watershed Mall.

The launch was evidence of Puma Energy Botswana’s commitment to ‘energising its communities’ in Botswana, providing convenience, product diversity, reliability, and quality of service to all its customers both retail and wholesale. Chicken Licken is one of the fastest-growing quick-service restaurants in Botswana, popularly known for its delicious ‘hot wings’. The combination of the powerhouse Chicken Licken brand and the excellent service that Puma Energy Botswana is known for will mean a better customer experience for residents of Mahalapye as well as travellers passing through.

The opening of the Mahalapye Chicken Licken at the Watershed Puma Energy is the third Chicken Licken to be opened at a Puma Energy Botswana service station in Botswana. The other two branches in Maun and Jwaneng are proving to be popular with the local communities. “This is the continuation of the exciting and evolving Puma Energy Botswana’s story in our country. As well as being able to diversify offerings to our Mahalapye clientele,” Puma Energy Botswana’s managing director, Dominic Dhanah said during the closing remarks. “Puma Energy Botswana is also excited about the employment opportunities the addition of the Chicken Licken restaurant offers to the local community. This solidifies our commitment to Botswana as a corporate citizen. This further aligns with our plans to empower Batswana youth.”

“We are looking forward to growing this partnership and seeing how we can best help to service Botswana and its people. ‘Diponeng’ has been missing some ‘hot flavour’ for a while and this gap is being filled through the partnership forged by Puma Energy Botswana and Chicken Licken,” he said. Chicken Licken master licensee, F Ismail Group CEO, Faizel Ishmail reiterated Dhanah’s sentiments.

“We are very excited to be in a partnership with Puma Energy Botswana. We are not only happy with their professionalism but also with their commitment to our sustainable business partnership. I am confident that this partnership will go far, and we will continue to develop with them,” he said.

Through this partnership with Chicken Licken, Puma Energy Botswana seeks to draw customers to their service stations and to keep them as frequent visitors. Chicken Licken employs over 70 staff over the three locations, a number which we hope to grow with our growing partnership to continue empowering more citizen youth. Chicken Licken will offer customers only the best chicken on offer and Puma Energy Botswana will continue to energise communities.
