Aabobe is the Face of KeNo Custom Suits
The quest for this year’s male ambassador for the custom-made suit label, KeNo Custom Suits, came to an end on Thursday. Junior Aabobe was announced the winner during a reveal ceremony at Grand Aria Hotel in Gaborone.
The competition titled, ‘Face of KeNo Men 2023’ set into motion in August this year. An expert panel of adjudicators presided throughout the whole process to select the fairest of them all. Aabobe emerged the winner after beating nine other contestants who made it to the top 10. As KeNo ambassador, Aabobe will get a wardrobe makeover from KeNo Suits worth P34,000, P15 000 cash prize, monthly grocery from Choppies worth P1, 000 for 12 months and so much more.
Following the win, Aabobe expressed gratitude for being adjudged the fairest of all participants. He said being the Face of KeNo has always been part of his dreams.
He said the win is testament to the power of hard work and faith. Furthermore, he said he would use the opportunity to represent KeNo in the best way he can to ensure that the brand reaches its full potential.
Addressing attendants, Thobo Kerekang, one of the founders of KeNo Custom Suits, said they were looking for a fashion-forward gentleman with an ardent appreciation for style to embody the brand’s essence.
Furthermore, he explained that KeNo Custom Suits epitomises refinement and profound aesthetic appeal. Additionally, he said alongside his friend, Donald Nnoto, they established KeNo Custom Suits in 2014, driven by the singular purpose of introducing refined, individually tailored suits to the domestic fashion landscape.
Kerekang said ever since then, the brand’s trajectory has expanded, encompassing additional offerings such as active wear, premium water, and KeNo fragrances.
“As such, the idea behind this is to take the brand to the people by allowing every Motswana to participate in the competition,” said Kerekang. The Face of KeNo competition started in 2021 when they introduced the Face of KeNo Women competition.
