Saobe aims to conquer world of beauty

Reigning Miss Teen Universe Botswana, Marilyn Saobe, is ready to take the world of beauty pageant by storm when she represents the country at the upcoming Miss Teen Universe finals.

The prestigiou­s event will be staged in the Dominican Republic in April and Saobe will not only showcase her grace and elegance but also her beauty, intelligen­ce, talent, and dedication to make a positive impact in the world.

The Maun native has captured the hearts of many with her radiant smile and captivatin­g presence. “I believe that pageantry has the power to transcend boundaries and bring people together.

“I have made it my mission to promote and celebrate my country,” she said. Saobe, 19, has been actively involved in various initiative­s that aim to preserve and promote the world of beauty pageants.

She was one of the finalists of Miss Supranatio­nal 2023, part of the runaway models for the 2022 Mascom Derby Fashion Show and one of Mr & Miss RADP Fashion Show 2023 judges.

According to Saobe, her passion for pageantry started at a young age when she was at primary school level and later on she joined The Glory Modeling Agency at her home village, Maun. The reigning Miss Teen Universe Botswana’s journey to the Teen Universe finals has been nothing short of remarkable and her dedication and hard work have earned her numerous accolades, including the title of Miss Teen Botswana.

However, it is her commitment to using her platform for the greater good that truly sets her apart. As the go-getter prepares herself to represent the country on the world stage, she carries with her the hopes and dreams of the nation.

Her journey is not just about winning a crown; it is about showcasing the beauty, talent, and resilience of the people of Botswana.

Saobe’s presence in the Teen Universe finals will undoubtedl­y put Botswana on the map and inspire young girls across the country to dream big and reach for the stars. “I understand the power and influence that comes with being a beauty queen, and I intend to use it to make a positive impact on society,” she said. Saobe is a shining example of beauty, talent, and compassion. As she embarks on her journey to the Teen Universe finals in the Dominican Republic, she carries with her the hopes and aspiration­s of a nation.

Her manager Tshepho Tlhapi said one of Saobe’s key initiative­s is to promote education and empowermen­t amongst young girls in Botswana.

“She firmly believes that education is the key to unlocking one’s full potential and breaking the cycle of poverty.

“She is currently a student at Botswana Internatio­nal University of Science and Technology (BIUST),” said Tlhapi.
