SOCIALMED ROUND UP IA
RONALDO SLAPS FAN’S PHONE AFTER Manchester United’s dismal 1-0 loss to Everton, United’s star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, threw a bit of a tantrum.
As he was walking down the tunnel, CR7 is seen slapping a phone of a young fan who was taking video footage of him. Although it was revealed that the fan may have been taunting Ronaldo, it does not excuse his behaviour. The Portuguese star took to his social media
to apologise for his behaviour and invited him to watch a Man United match in future.
Although the apology may have been genuine, it didn’t stop social media from roasting Ronaldo.
“Disgraceful from Ronaldo, he smashed a kids phone and then invited him to watch United play. Has the poor kid not been through enough,” said one commenter implying that watching Man United is torturous enough. Another comment said, “He could at least replace the phone while he’s at it.” Social media can really kick you when you’re down.
CASSPER VS NAAQMUSIK THE much-awaited boxing match between Cassper Nyovest and Naaqmusik finally happened this past weekend. The two musicians went toe to toe at Sun City for a 5-round boxing event. In the end, Naaqmusik was declared the winner and social media had mixed reviews on the results.
“People are saying Cassper should have won but how do you win a boxing fight if you are too busy hugging the opponent,” said one comment. Another comment said, “Naaq had more
hits in this fight than he’s had his whole career.” And yet another person quipped, “I’m not a fan of neither of them and hate neither of them, but I’m so glad Naaq won. We were never going to hear the end of it if Cassper Nyovest won.” Various celebrities were in attendance including Minnie Dlamini and Big Zulu, who expressed interest in having a celebrity boxing match of his own. Soon after the fight, Cassper’s first victim, Slik Talk, posted a video to celebrate the rapper’s loss. It was certainly a very entertaining event and with hints of a rematch. I wonder if this will be a trend.
MASISI TAKES A JAB AT SALESHANDO’S FATHER
PRESIDENT Masisi
paid a visit to Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Kgotla Autlwetse’s homestead after the shocking arson attacks on his car.
Masisi was there initially to show support to his minister but couldn’t resist addressing leader of opposition, Dumelang Saleshando. In his address, he castigated Saleshando and characterised him as ill-mannered. The president further stated that his actions are no different from that of his father, Gilson Saleshando (a previous member of parliament).
Social media was shocked at the words spoken by the president. “He was supposed to console the family but is now insulting other people and their fathers. Is this your president!” said one comment. While another comment said, “Ironic that he is displaying the same behaviour he is supposedly against.”
