SOCIALMED ROUND UP IA

-

THE big bucks dominated topics of conversation this week, with an American billionaire making an expensive purchase and a local millionaire getting his fortune back.

There was also a tough story to swallow in Dubai and yet another twist in a long dead footballer’s murder case.

ELON MUSK BUYS TWITTER

THE billionaire owner of Tesla, Elon Musk, made headlines after acquiring Twitter for a reported Us$44billion (that’s a whole lot of Pula!). Musk is the world’s richest person, according to Forbes magazine, with an estimated net worth of $273.6bn, so his latest purchase won’t dent his bank balance too badly.

Upon learning the news, Twitter users gave all their hilarious opinions and the memes were flying around.

“Musk just bought Twitter for 44 billion when he could have just downloaded the App for free. Idiot!” exclaimed a clown. “When billionaires like Elon Musk justify their motives by using ‘freedom’ beware. What they actually seek is freedom from accountability,” warned a more cynical comment.

Musk himself joked, “Next I’m buying Coca-cola to put the cocaine back in.”

Reports have been circulating of degrading sexual acts being performed in exchange for money. Recently, these rumours popped up again after disturbing video clips of people being defecated on made the rounds.

Social media was left sick to its stomach.

“If a rich guy ever offers to fly you to Dubai, run. Do not walk. Do not pass go. No amount is worth it,” advised one comment. Digging a bit too deep into the fiasco, it was also pointed out, “Another crazy thing about the girl who went to Dubai to eat poo is that she didn’t even tell her man until a year later. She was kissing him for a whole year with that mouth.” The video left a bad taste with many, with one individual summing up the views of many, when he said, “I should have really minded my own business and stopped being nosy trynna find out what this Dubai porta potty is all about. Now I can’t unsee it.”

Obviously not everyone who goes to Dubai engages in these antics, and it certainly isn’t by force. However, some things in life aren’t worth it. fearing family fighting against people playing the role of God. Only witchcraft can help them here, not courts.” Smelling a rat, it was also pointed out, “They didn’t tell Adv Teffo why they were arresting him. They didn’t read him his rights before arresting him. They took his notes and notebooks of the case he’s working on. Why take the notes related to the Senzo Meyiwa case if the arrest is not related to the case?”

It’s almost eight years since the Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was shot dead and the case is getting more complicated by the day.
