GLOBAL QUEENS TO COMPETE IN MALAYSIA
PREPARATIONS are ongoing as Kids and Teens Global pageant queens are set to fly high the blue, black and white flag in Malaysia at the inaugural international grand finale, which is slated for the 2nd to 6th February, 2023.
Miss Kids and Teens Pageant Global Botswana shall send eleven queens and princesses of ages ranging between 6 and 17 to battle it out with other international participants to be crowned in three categories being Miss Mini Global, Miss Little Global, and Miss Teen Global.
The reigning queens and princesses prevailed over their fellow contestants in different elements such as stage presence, and articulation in answering questions, giving the judges a hard time in selecting the winners. The fancy first instalment of the pageant that was held at Grand Aria Hotel on 17th December had attracted a large crowd who cheered for the delightful little ladies.
In the Miss Teen Global category, Lorraine Kgamaetsile and Mbali Ngebani emerged victorious as the queen and first runner up, respectively. Correspondingly, the vibrant Cherise Chulu scooped the Miss Little Global title whereas Aobakwe Mosinyi was graciously crowned Miss Mini Global.
REHEARSALS
The pageant director, Tebo Shereen Hannah, said that they are pushing and working hard for the international event as they are engaged in rehearsals, and the kids are doing their beauty with a purpose projects that will showcase their skills and talents. “Training is in progress, every weekend we are training them mostly on public speaking,” she said.
She further articulated that despite the remarkable commitment directed towards taking part at the world stage, they are experiencing constraints and are in need of financial support.
Moreover, she pleaded with potential sponsors to come on board and help the young ones realise their dreams, emphasising that the air tickets and accommodation costs are not yet covered although they are the fundamental aspects of the expedition.
Kids and Global is a beauty pageant organised for girls to build and execute confidence, especially the less privileged children.
“We are dedicated to helping orphans and the less privileged kids to instil confidence in them and usher them to believe that with God everything is possible,” she said.
So far, they have attracted girls from Tsogang Trust, a renewed hope and home for the orphans situated in Mogoditshane, to take part in the pageant.
