CHOPPIES GIVES AWAY BRAND NEW MERCEDES BENZ C200

On Friday 26th January the 20th edition of the Choppies Big Birthday Bonanza drew to a close and Dimpho Rabasimane of Molapowabo­jang became the ultimate winner of the Grand Prize walking away with a brand new Mercedes Benz C200 sedan.

Five other lucky customers walked away with five brand new Nissan Navara bakkies. The Big Birthday Bonanza competitio­n courtesy of Botswana’s retail giant Choppies, ended after running from the October 2023 to January this year.

The five lucky winners of the Nissan Navara Bakkies are Kagiso Tshekega, Masego Mashokgo Taita Tjaja, Constance Mabilo and Onneile Keaboletse.

The grand finale draw was held at The Spark Capital Hall at Commerce Park in Gaborone. Supermarke­t officials and suppliers attended the draw which was also conducted in the presence of the media.

The winners emerged from a draw which they entered upon purchasing selected products sold by Choppies at its different stores across the country.

Still on the same day 97 lucky customers won P15 000 cash each following the draw while there were also awards of P10 000 cash prizes for 20 lucky Choppies employees which was conducted by the Choppies executive staff.

In his welcome remarks Choppies Regional Manager Mr Phenyo Molebatsi said the 20th edition of the Big Birthday Bonanza was a bold affirmatio­n of Choppies’ sincere appreciati­on to its customers. He said the bonanza was not just a competitio­n but a life changing event.

Giving an overview of the competitio­n Choppies Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Ramachandr­an Ottapathu said the response from customers throughout the years had been overwhelmi­ng.

He thanked the suppliers who participat­ed in the 20th Big Birthday Bonanza and urged them to continue the good gesture to grow the competitio­n to another level.

Mr Ram paid homage to the entire Choppies staff for their unwavering commitment to the Choppies brand.

He said their efforts had made the journey a massive success and said the competitio­n would not be possible without the assistance of its trusted customers and suppliers who rendered the support annually.
