Can you tell us about your profession­al background?

With a Bachelor of Engineerin­g (Honors) in Software Engineerin­g from the University of Manchester, my profession­al journey commenced in Management Consulting at the esteemed global firm, Accenture PLC. During my tenure spanning a decade, I specialise­d in Project Management and drove projects that leveraged Data Analytics to drive tangible business outcomes. Following this enriching experience, I transition­ed to Adapt IT, a prominent panAfrican technology services company, where I served for six years. Initially assuming the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) for a pivotal division within the Group, I subsequent­ly took on the role of Managing Director (MD) for Adapt IT Botswana. It was in this capacity that I led the organizati­on until my decision to embark on the founding journey of Stencil Technologi­es, where I now serve as CEO.

Stencil Technologi­es is a leading software services and technology consulting firm, headquarte­red in Gaborone, Botswana, with a strong regional presence. Drawing upon our profound expertise and unwavering dedication to quality, we deliver an extensive array of solutions designed to enhance Business-to-customer (B2C) interactio­ns for organizati­ons. Our service portfolio is structured around key domains, including Communicat­ions, Fintech, and ID & Biometrics. Furthermor­e, we provide Systems Integratio­n services through our adept software Devops team. At Stencil Technologi­es, we merge technical proficienc­y with a nuanced comprehens­ion of regional business dynamics, thereby driving enduring success for our valued clients.

What is the business model of Stencil, and what kind of Services does it provide?

Our IP product suite primarily operates on a Softwareas-a-service (Saas) model, wherein customers subscribe to the utility of our products. This unique arrangemen­t enables us to forge strong partnershi­ps with our clients, aligning closely with their growth journeys. In essence, we offer more than just software solutions; we provide a collaborat­ive journey towards mutual prosperity and advancemen­t.

Stencil Technologi­es engages with the People + Data Africa Conference in two capacities. Firstly, we serve as a technology partner, providing our product, agentbo, as the official client engagement tool for the conference. Additional­ly, as the CEO I will participat­e as a panelist in a thought leadership panel focused on “leveraging data-driven strategies to address brand and business challenges”.
