A Momentous Change for an Iconic Treasure

-

Amomentous occasion for one of Brunei’s beloved treasures, the world-class luxury resort formerly known as The Empire Hotel and Country Club is now simply known as The Empire Brunei.

This was unveiled in a private event on 29 October 2019, held at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom of the palatial resort, attended by the Guests of Honour Dato Seri Setia Dr Awg Haji Mohd Amin Liew, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II and Chairman of JPH Sdn Bhd Board of Directors, as well as Dato Seri Setia Awg Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.

The rebranding exercise doesn’t stop at its name; the resort will also redefine their colours and images to better represent the intrinsic qualities of the hotel. The purpose of this was to support the key objective of encouraging new visitors, recognising the need for a fresh brand strategy. The Empire Brunei turned to an international luxury hotel branding agency to undertake a review of the brand positioning with the purpose of reinvigorating and re-aligning their new look with the brand’s essential qualities.

In doing so, the resort has changed its name to a simpler and more elegant ‘The Empire Brunei’. New visual identities accompany the change of name, which includes a newly crafted wordmark and typography, a new logo, a new colour palette, and new illustrations hand-painted by a commissioned artist.

Their website has also been upgraded to reflect these changes, with improved visuals, access and functionality for users across all platforms. In support of this, The Empire Brunei also engaged in the services of award winning hotel photographer, Jeremy Rata, to produce new imagery for the hotel.

What hasn’t changed is The Empire Brunei’s breath-taking location, its attentive and warm staff, their elegant rooms, and fantastic facilities. No visit to Brunei is complete without a visit to this renowned resort – a sumptuous tropical retreat and undoubtedly one of Brunei’s finest treasures. Whether it’s to stay in their spacious guest rooms with breath-taking views of the sea, or to dine at a variety of restaurants serving an assortment of Asian and international cuisine, to enjoy the gorgeous pools or the vast private beach, to enjoy the numerous facilities at the sports club or for a round of golf at the Jack Nicklaus signature designed golf course, or to even catch a movie at their cinema, The Empire Brunei is a favourite spot for visitors and locals alike. •• The Empire Brunei Jerudong, BG3122 Negara Brunei Darussalam Tel: 673-2418888 Email: info@theempirebrunei.com Website: www.theempirebrunei.com
