Kozan Teppan-yaki Restaurant at Shangri-la’s Rasa Ria Resort presents a gastronomi­cal adventure that is both visual and sensorial.

Teppanyaki is a style of cooking in which the chef grills various cuts of seafood, meat and vegetables over a large iron hotplate (teppan), in front of the customer. Your food will be prepared fresh a la minute and best of all, you will get to witness how your food is being made – with artisanal showmanshi­p and perfection – before your very eyes. The teppanyaki experience also allows you to interact with your chef. Who knows, perhaps you may also even go home with new tips and tricks for your own kitchen?

Kozan Teppan-yaki offers various menus to tickle various food fancies. For the meat-lover, there is the Kozan (mountain) set menu that incorporat­es the Chef Selection of the Day Appetizer, seven main courses (which include the French Foie Gras and the Australian Wagyu Rib Eye beef) and a dessert. For the seafood lover, the Umi (sea) set menu also showcases a Chef’s Selection of the Day Appetiser, seven mains (including Norwegian Salmon, Hokkaido Scallop and Sabah’s very own Slipper Lobster) as well as dessert to top it off. If you prefer to personally pick and choose everything to sample, there is also the a la carte menu for you to choose from.
