Sunset Wildlife Cruise
Kuching Wetlands National Park is one of the most underrated national parks in Sarawak, a well-kept secret known only to a handful of scientists. What sets it apart is the diversity of flora and fauna which are uniquely adapted to life in the mangrove ecosystem.
To get to the park, guests will first take a 30-minute drive out from Kuching city to the jetty where the cruise boat awaits. At the jetty, guests board a boat which takes them along the mangrove river towards the South China Sea.
Depending on tidal conditions, playful pods of elusive Irrawaddy dolphins may be sighted in the vicinity. Along the river and tributaries of the National Park, proboscis monkeys and crocodiles are frequently spotted.
As the final, flaming hues of sunset begin to fade, fireflies make their presence known in the form of a million twinkling lights illuminating the darkness.
After slowly cruising back to the jetty, guests will be treated to dine on delicious local fare for dinner just a 10-minute drive away, before returning to Kuching.
