RAID was created in 2007 by Barry Coleman, to meet the need for a modern training system for Posiedon rebreathers. The agency has since matured and in 2014 – along with current company president, Paul Toomer, and partner, Jim Holiday – RAID was relaunched to include open circuit scuba education. In 2017, RAID achieved full membership to the RSTC and ISO certification; putting it squarely on an equal footing with the other big agencies. In 2018, RAID was purchased by Kalkomey Partners Inc, the largest recreational online training company in the US.
