Started in 1970 by Robert Clark, SSI has been growing from a national organisati­on to a strong internatio­nal brand over the years with dive centres present in close to 200 countries. Growing out of the passion of avid divers, SSI aims to provide anyone the opportunit­y to learn scuba diving. SSI has more than 60 dive programmes available in 42 languages, all supported by instructor materials, bringing its market closer to the public. SSI became fully digital in 2015, covering the needs of the newer generation­s too.

SSI’s courses cover all aspects of scuba diving; from beginners to pros. SSI also has its very own Mermaid Course specially created for the Asian market and has since been expanding its reach to other regions.
