Monks at Dawn. It’s worth quietly observing the saffron procession of monks collecting rice. This can be viewed from almost anywhere, but avoid the tourist-heavy main street and opt for a quieter spot on the road parallel. Only give alms if it is a meaningful experience for you, in which case arrange it with your hotel the night before. Do not buy from street vendors on the spot; dress appropriately, stand a respectful distance away to take photos and turn off that flash!
