Town Walk. French colonial grandeur, communist deco and ageing teak homes. Start at the Provincial Office and walk along the main road into town. For a glimpse into Lao life, peek into the cobbled alleys that run between most of the wats and the main roads. Remember, these are people’s homes, so be discreet and respectful.
