Western hit for six by AEU striker Mbarga

FOR Cameroonian striker Privat Mbarga Sunday was an unforgettable day at the AEU Sports Park in the Cambodian domestic football season as he netted all six of his team’s goals in AEU’s 6-1 thrashing of Western.

It was quite literally a one-man show as he found the mark at regular intervals to inflict another heavy defeat on Western, who remain the only side yet to secure a point in the league after nine game weeks. Soueng Panha squeezed out a consolation for Western as Mbarga took his tally to 13 goals from nine games.

Nagaworld recovered well from their loss to Visaka by recording a 4-2 win over National Police. Nigerian Bisan George had his scoring boots on with a double with Anderson Zogbe and Sary Mat Norotin adding one each. Matthew Knneth and Ol Ravy got the Police goals as Naga picked up three points to boost their count to 22 points, one behind leaders Boeung Ket.

Ministry of National Defense were back to their robust ways in their 4-0 win over Electricite du Cambodge, casting aside some serious fallouts from their controversial actions at the Svay Rieng Stadium when they managed to beat home side Preah Khan Reach in injury time. The ill-tempered game, marked by some ugly scenes and player feuds, led to several players on both sides being slapped with fines and suspensions.

Phoung Soksana led the MND charge with a double while Roeung Bunheng and Na Hyosungh got their names on the score list.
