Wing ‘Asia’s Best Employer’ at 2020 World HRD Congress

WI NG has again showcased excellence as the winner of Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award from the World HRD Congress at its 11th annual ceremony, which was held virtually in October.

Bringing together nearly 2,000 profession­als from more than 133 countries, the World HRD Congress also recognised Royal Group subsidiari­es including Cellcard’s ICT division and Ezecom.

The World HRD Congress operates as an independen­t non-profit organisati­on with the goal of making “work and working lives better”.

Wing has consistent­ly aimed to build the best work place and foster a positive work culture for its employees.

As the leading mobile banking services provider in Cambodia, Wing’s staff levels have grown as its business

has flourished, with the total number of Wing employees reaching 451 by the end of 2019 – a 22 per cent increase on the previous year.

The company has expanded its staff to 589 this year, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wing’s commitment to employee retention and developmen­t has led to the successful launch of several capacitybu­ilding programmes.

In the past year alone,

Wing invested nearly 11,000 hours in training for the developmen­t of more than 445 Wing profession­als, including for new and long-standing staff members.

On top of that, every year Wing creates opportunit­ies for students from various higher education institutio­ns to join an internship programme and gain valuable, hands-on experience.

As a testament to Wing’s exemplary workplace culture, 75 per cent of Wing interns have progressed to become full-time employees.

Wing also contribute­s to the community by continuous­ly involving its employees in social and charity events, as well as with donations and environmen­tal, financial literacy and gender empowermen­t programmes.
