Prudential Cambodia’s Moos Som Chanh, an insurance plan for the monsoon season

The first digital and bite-sized insurance product in Cambodia available now on Pulse by Prudential, a digital health and wellness app.

DIGITAL healthcare and insurance leader, Prudential Cambodia is offering an affordable insurance plan Moos Som Chanh that provides financial relief to those diagnosed with dengue or malaria during the monsoon season.

Prudential Cambodia rolled out the insurance package Moos Som Chanh to help Cambodians cope with any unexpected medical bills if they contract dengue or malaria during the monsoon.

“Prudential’s mission is to provide health protection to all Cambodians and Moos Som Chanh at a starting price of $4 per year helps achieve that.

“This has been a trying time for Cambodians from a health perspectiv­e, and we would like to provide people with multiple options to safeguard their health and financial wellbeing,” Prudential Cambodia CEO Sanjay Chakrabart­y said.

This product launched on May 24 comes with four different packages for customers to select based on the benefits they would like to receive, offering flexibilit­y and affordable solutions that meet the protection needs of every Cambodian households.

Prudential Cambodia is making

Moos Som Chanh available for purchase on its Pulse by Prudential (Pulse) digital health and wellness app that is available to Cambodian residents aged between 1 and 60, and can be renewed or repurchase­d annually.

The Pulse app was launched in October last year as part of the

Prudential’s region-wide strategy to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. It currently provides all Cambodians with round-the-clock access to healthcare services and real-time health informatio­n and is constantly evolving with new features.

“This is the first insurance plan we are offering on the Pulse app. Through the app, we want people to be able to access healthcare services and buy simple insurance plans convenient­ly from anywhere and at any time,” Sanjay said.

To purchase a Moos Som Chanh plan, users must first download the Pulse app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. They can then visit the e-store on the app, PRU Shoppe, to make the purchase.
