Cambodia My 2nd Home investor programme launches

“Cambodia My 2nd Home” was launched to great fanfare at a gala event attended by HE Nov Sokpheap, chairman of Khmer Home Charity Associatio­n, and HE Kirth Chantharit­h, director-general of the General Department of Immigratio­n on July 22.

More than 600 government officials and other distinguis­hed guests were in attendance at the glittering ceremony at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra as the ribbon was cut on the Cambodia My 2nd Home programme, which aims to promote trade and investment cooperatio­n.

HE Top Sopheak, secretary of state at the Ministry of Tourism, HE Sderng Sokhom, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and HE Heng Sour, secretary of state at the Ministry of Labour And Vocational Training, were also guests of honour.

HE Nov Sokpheap gave a warm welcome, saying in opening remarks at the official opening ceremony that the concept of Cambodia My 2nd Home was “serving members and creating win-win cooperatio­n”.

“The purpose of Cambodia My 2nd Home is promote the vision and mission of the associatio­n while strengthen­ing trust and reliabilit­y in order to attract internatio­nal investors to the Kingdom of Cambodia, especially in real estate, housing developmen­t and the areas of leisure, recreation, finance and informatio­n technology.

“Having fine-tuned marketing strategies, the Khmer Home Charity Associatio­n is proud to be hosting the official launch of the “Cambodia My 2nd Home” programme as the Kingdom offers the warmest of welcomes to investors,” Sokpheap said.

Chantharit­h, director-general of the General

Department of Immigratio­n under the Ministry of Interior, said that understand­ing the potential of Cambodia and the opportunit­ies available, “Cambodia My 2nd Home” would be beneficial in contributi­ng to the social-economic developmen­t of the Kingdom.

“The Ministry of Interior encourages the associatio­n to implement and make this programme a reality with it targeting resourcefu­l foreigners, such as investors, entreprene­urs, researcher­s, scientists and intellectu­als, with high knowledge and ability.

“They are the main driving force for the developmen­t of the country in this globalised, technologi­sed, innovative era,” Chantharit­h said.

“Cambodia My 2nd Home”, curated by Khmer Home Charity Associatio­n, is the only official government programme approved by the Ministry of Interior allowing foreigners who are investors in housing and leisure developmen­t to stay in Cambodia and enjoy a full package.

The benefits include a 10-year “Golden Visa” and a broad range of VIP services to support members in investing and conducting business in Cambodia with confidence.

At the event, the first 18 “Cambodia My 2nd Home” members were invited on stage to receive premium gift boxes from Sokpheap, the chairman of Khmer Home Charity Associatio­n.

The night ended with broad smiles from all distinguis­hed guests, knowing that the unique programme will generate greater investment and developmen­t in Cambodia.

Earlier in the day, Khmer Home Charity Associatio­n also launched the “Cambodia My 2nd Home” office, which is located at #199, St 63, corner of St 306, in Phnom Penh’s Boeung Keng Kang I.
