Kampong Speu working group appoints 200 officials
MINISTER of Civil Service Hun Many, who is also chairman of the government working group for Kampong Speu province, expressed confidence that the nearly 200 newly appointed members will be effective in carrying out government tasks in the province.
He shared this optimism during the dissemination of the government’s decision on December 25, welcoming and thanking the new members for their commitment to cooperation with ministries and institutions for the province’s development.
“As the working group chairman for Kampong Speu province, I bear a significant responsibility to lead and oversee the group’s activities, collaborating with the Council of Ministers to effectively guide this work,” he said.
“Therefore, everyone assigned to the nine districts and all communes of the province must shoulder the responsibility to lead and manage the work at their respective bases, aligning with the government’s guidance and the chairman of the working group, aimed at assisting the people in Kampong Speu province,” he said.
On December 26, provincial governor Vei Samnang said that the 188 new appointees will join in supporting the activities of the local administration. This collaboration aligns with the regular action plans of the administration, including both three-year and five-year rolling plans.
“All working groups from various institutions will support the activities planned by the sub-national administration. Our collective effort is to find ways to guide and facilitate the work at the sub-national level. In case of any issues, the focus is on ensuring public services reach the people promptly and as scheduled,” he said.
“The working group should build strong relationships with the government and people from all walks of life. It’s essential to support local initiatives, uphold the high responsibilities of state institutions and work collaboratively with the subnational administration at all levels,” he added.
Samnang also said that the group must coordinate public forums in each locality, engage directly with the people and mobilise resources to support local development. This includes building social achievements and addressing the specific needs of the people.
