EDELBROCK RELEASES NEXT GENERATION E-STREET EFI SYSTEM

4WDrive - - Feature -

Edelbrock has announced the release of its next generation in E-Street electronic fuel injection - the E-Street 2 EFI. There are many new enhancements to an already easy to use and affordable system, making it the ideal choice for any enthusiast looking to convert to EFI. Some of Edelbrock’s new and improved E-Street 2 EFI features include enhanced Bluetooth connectivity for improved communication between the ECU and Android device. It also features refined base calibrations for a reduced self-learning period, and a throttle body with a new black powder coated finish that will retain a classic under hood appearance.

Other enhancements include the capability to direct drive an ignition coil (optional Ignition Control Kit required), eliminating the extra expense and time involved with installing a CDI box. It also allows consumers to fully customize their ignition curve for the ultimate power and fuel economy, all within the E-Tuner App. E-Tuner also allows the consumer to control several parameters of the system and to make adjustments while driving. Each system includes a pre-assembled throttle body, engine control unit (ECU), high quality wiring harness, wide band O2 sensor and detailed instructions for a hassle free installation. The E-Tuner is also now compatible with many popular Android phones and tablets, allowing consumers to use their own personal device to tune and monitor their E-Street 2 EFI System.

DEI’s popular Titanium Turbo Shield is now available for the Garrett GTP38R turbocharger. The GTP38R turbo, developed for the F-Series Power Stroke diesel equipped engine, greatly improves HP but can generate excessive radiant heat under the hood. DEI’s Titanium Turbo Shield, part # 010176, was custom designed to fit the GTP38R to reduce turbo lag, improve HP and add thermal protection for longlasting performance.

Turbos are known to generate excessive heat under the hood that can put electrical wiring, hoses and components at risk. The DEI Titanium Turbo Shield serves as a high quality insulator that keeps the heat in the exhaust path. The exterior is made of a pulverized lava rock material manufactured into tightly woven fibers for titanium-like strength. The interior is made of high temp rated, silica fireproof insulation with a fireproof core all held together with double reinforced seams. Rated to handle direct heat up to 1800° F / 2500° F radiant, the result is more heat is kept in the exhaust path for a cooler air intake temperature and a boost in HP. Anchoring hooks are used to secure the shield to the turbine housing.

Additionally, DEI also manufactures shields and kits for many other turbochargers. While the GTP38R is not available at this time as a kit, all other Garrett turbocharger shields are available as kits which includes a 2”x15’ roll of Titanium wrap, two 20” stainless steel zip ties, and 5’ of fastening wire.
