-

August long weekend in the Okanagan, what could be more fun? Spending it on Apex Mountain in your 4x4 that’s what!

Join us on Apex Mountain just outside Penticton BC with your 4x4 to learn new skills, make new friends and explore what this spectacular area has to offer.

The Apex Jamboree will include presentations and a trade show. You’ll learn new skills, and then be able to practice what you have learned on guided trail runs designed for new to advanced offroaders. There will be additional activities for your enjoyment including, testing your skills in the mud, a 4x4 training track, a flex ramp, and a balance beam.

We also invite all participants for music and a bonfire, and a meet and greet, every night except Saturday, when local band Hillside Outlaws will be performing. The public is welcome to see the Hillside Outlaws tickets will be on sale.

This event is hosted by the After The Blacktop Ends community. Participants provide their own four-wheel drive vehicle - don’t forget to bring extra gas since there is no gas station on Apex Mountain, and you can take care of you own food and nonalcoholic beverages for the trips. The event will have catered meals at the The Edge Bistro. Apex Accommodations will be open for this event for toughs that don’t want to rough it. The Gunbarrel Saloon is going to be open as well. Suggested essentials, beyond plenty of water, include sun protection, and layered clothing in case of changing weather circumstances that are always a possibility during the summer in southern British Columbia.

All proceeds go to improvements to the Nickleplate Lake (Apex Area) campsites and environmental upgrading and trail maintenance.

Registration is exclusively on line and all participants must use the web site to register. No paper registrations will be used.
