Wow, what a ride! You are reading Volume 20 Issue 1. Canada’s truck and off-road magazine is 20 years old. Perhaps you’re reading the high quality print edition (no batteries required and very collectable), the digital edition on your iPad in a plane at 30,000 ft., or you’ve followed a link from your favourite social media site or newsletter to our website from in Canada or somewhere else around the world.
We are very proud to be Canadian and need to thank-you for our success. Ours is a constantly evolving fast-paced world. Even though what we do with our trucks, SUV’s and off-road 4x4’s hasn’t really changed - we work, we play. Some are modified or restored classics, and many are state-of-the-art mechanical and electronic marvels that pull more with smaller engines using less fuel than ever before. And our numbers are growing - trucks now outsell cars!
I confess that driving and exploring has, and is still, the best part of our jobs. But what is really exciting now is all the ways we can share and connect with you. We work at play, then write, photograph, video, publish, print and post. The days of write, photograph, print and repeat have been augmented by instantly reaching you with short clips from events using Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Then we have the opportunity to select the best stories for more involved articles in our print and digital editions.
Lately, we have been focusing on providing more content on our YouTube channel. In less than a year we’ve generated videos that have over 200,000 views, and a library with almost two million minutes watched.
